So I've decided to share my favorite holiday DVD and CD:
ELF
I am obsessed with this movie. I think it is hilarious! I watch it year round, but it's best at Christmas time. Even though I know all the lines I still laugh every single time.
There is a tie for 2nd between A Christmas Story and National Lampoons Christmas vacation!
Metallica: And Christmas For All
Metallica: And Christmas For All
For those of you who know me best, you know that I am a die hard Metallica fan (yea, yea I know) I love them and there is nothing better than Metallica and X-mas music all in one!
I dare you to listen to it! (Even Matt's grandparents like it)
Sick of dreaming of a white Christmas? Ready to send Rudolph to a jingle jail? Or take a blow-torch to Frosty? Then these holiday versions of Metallica's songs have been made especially for you. We've taken some of their biggest and baddest songs and shaped them into Christmas instrumentals. If Santa catches you awake, you ain't gettin' jack. But if he's a Metallica fan, your two front teeth might be handed to instead! What better way to ring in the holidays than with these merry versions of their legendary metal anthems?

What are your favorites?
Yes, I love that movie too. I still remember seeing it for the first time in the movie theater with all the fam on Christmas. Good times. Jared and I look forward to watching it all year long. I'm glad you guys enjoy it too!!
ReplyDeleteElf is definitely a great movie. Our family always watches The Christmas Story - it never gets old. And you can't mock me for this, but growing up my mom played the Mariah Carey Christmas CD and I still like it. I know..I know...
ReplyDeleteHey send me your address!! timberlinepools@aol.com this way I will have your email too!
ReplyDeleteWe love Elf, too! Haven't listened to the Metallica Christmas cd - Paul would probably keep it in permanent rotation. :) I am more of a Josh Groban Christmas girl.
ReplyDeleteI was totally thinking about Elf the other day, and thinking I should start answering the phone, "Kimmy the elf, what's your favorite color?" Love that movie and the excuse to watch it and not look crazy.
ReplyDeleteI need to listen to Metallica Christmas. Hilarious. I went to a Metallica concert during the holiday season, you'd think they would have busted some of these jams out.
ReplyDeleteELF is duh, a family favorite. Gabriella and I watch it semi weekly November and December, weekly in October, and monthly the rest of the yea. I'm in love I'm in love and I don't care who knows it.
Awesome post! You are bringing the holiday spirit.
Elf is on my DVR right now and I have loved it too since I first saw it! What a crack up! As for the snow - I totally understand! Schools close here when it snows an inch because it freezes quickly and because there is no equipment to deal with it. Oh well. Merry Christmas! Send me your snail mail address - bloomerjc@comcast.net.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Elf is one of my absolute favorites. I just watched it for the second time this Chrsitmas. I laughed just as hard this time around as any. It is probably because it is so silly and well written. Knowing my personality you probably are not suprised I like it so much. "Smiling is my favorite." Our other family favorite at Christmas is Family Man, which is equally well written as many on liners as well.
