What a disappointment...

I wouldn't say that I am a Twlight fan, but I did enjoy Stephanie Meyer's first 3 books and I even enjoyed The Host, but Breaking Dawn was a disappointment!! I don't want to ruin the book for anyone so I won't give anything away, but when everyone else finishes it and wants to talk about it let me know....

FYI- If you have kids, I wouldn't let them read this one

  2. I can't believe you've already read it! I haven't even been able to get to the store to buy it today! And I'm a super huge fan, she's in my parents ward, crazy! But, man, I hope it's just you... I'll be ready to discuss shortly...

  3. So I pre-ordered my book from Amazon and they are supposed to have the book to you the day it comes out, but UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday so I won't get my copy until Monday. I am because I was hoping to read it this weekend when I actually have time. I can't believe you are done already! Did you stay up all night and read it. So far you aren't the only one I have heard who didn't like it, which makes me sad. Although I am hoping that since I have heard so many negative things my expectations will be lower and then I will like it ;) I will hopefully be up for a discussion soon!

  5. well Lisa, I am sad to say it, but I too was disappointed. And I am a total fan! No spoilers, but it just didn't seem to fit. The end picked up for me, though.

  6. I agree about not letting kids read it. It was a bit anti climatic. I give it a C+

  7. Okay, so I guess I will finish the 3rd book, so I can read the 4th. Wish me luck!! I have heard very mixed reviews, mainly falling on the anti climatic side. Ah...I'm glad no one is giving it away!

  11. I just finished it. I liked it, but agree with Beth, a bit anti-climactic. Is it morbid of me to want something, some sort of fight, to have happened. A little too much happily ever after for me. But I still liked it. How can you go wrong with Edward ;)

  12. Oh we have to talk I just finished the other day. I have to say I didn't think it was great either, but really sometimes by the forth book how great can it be??

  13. I wanted more action, fighting, and emotion. Was anyone REALLY surprised by anything that happened? It was so much more predictable than Stephanie Meyer's others. Oh well, can't win them all!!
