My name is Lisa and I am addicted to the Olympics! Yes, it's true. It doesn't matter what sport is showing, I will watch it and cheer with the best of them. Let's be honest, you all know I watch any and all sporting events on TV already, but this is especially exciting for me because I am watching the Olympics for the first time on non-US TV stations. It's great to be able to watch in-depth info on athletes outside of the US also. Canadian sportcasters have been showing interviews and insights on athletes from all over the world!!
I do like that I have options though. Matt and I also get the US stations (yes we are stealing a Dish signal from Seattle) so it's great to be able to watch it from the US perspective also. Either way, I am hooked!! If my house doesn't remain as clean as normal over the next few weeks you will know why....
I just hope that no fights break out in our house, because you know I will be ruiting for the good old USA!!!!
(sorry in advance to my Canadian friends)

Jared and I second that...we are currently watching the swimming! We love it too. I remember a few years ago I thought, "What will I watch now that the Olympics are over?" It really is so addicting!
ReplyDeleteAnd how about the opening. Wasn't that the most fantastic performance you ever saw?
ReplyDeleteLoving the Olympics...and I have to tell you, one of the fist thing I said to Kurt as we were watching the opening was: I wonder who Lisa will be cheering for? :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you watched the opening cermonies on the Canadian stations because the US coverage was horrible! Bob Costas and Matt Lauer were talking over the Cultural expert that was helping to announce and they had dumb comments in the Parade of countries. They also only seemed to care about Tennis and Basketball. BORING! I finally muted it because I couldn't handle it. I hope you get better commentators than that.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I watched male gymnastics. the whole thing
ReplyDeleteGO USA
