More visitors!!

I was so excited when a month ago my sister-in-law Diana told me that her family was going to be visiting Victoria for a short family vacation. As you know, I get VERY excited when we get visitors because it is such a rare occasion. The Perry family spent the morning touring the Buchart Gardens and then met up with Matt and I in the afternoon to see the city.
It was really fun to show them our favorite spots including the inner harbor, the Parliament Building, the Empress Hotel and our favorite place to get fish and chips.

Di wanted proof that she was in Canada with a Canadian. YEA!!
We visited the beautiful Craigdarroch Castle right before the sun started to go down. The sad part was that it was already closed for the day, so we only got pictures of the outside. (but we did peek in the windows) If you look closely you can see the Perry's and Matt on the stairs.
We found this cute little park right on the water with the most spectacular views!! You can see the tops of the Washington state mountains across the water in the background.

Di thought this view would make a great "couple" picture. (Let's all sigh together now) Truthfully, it was a great suggestion and even though it was really windy the picture turned out great!

We love you Perry family and we are so glad we were able to spend time with all of you, even though it was only a few hours. Good times!!!

  2. Lisa, you beat me to the blog. I have yet to recover from such an amazing vacation. Your pictures turned out fantastic. I have yet to sort through my 1,600 pictures. Yes, that truly is pathetic. I hopefully will be getting around to them tomorrow or the next. I loved seeing the two of you and I greatly appreciated your touring services. You were so fun! My family couldn't stop talking about how fun the two of you were. I think they really enjoyed getting to know you guys better. Thanks for driving 1 1/2 hours to spend the day with us. I'll post pictures soon.

  3. That last picture could be an engagement picture :) I am so jealous of how beautiful it is there every time you post pictures. Ross and I wanted to go to those gardens when we were up there, but it would have cost too much - dang student budget! One day when we are filthy rich we are determined to go back ;) That castle is amazing too! I am glad you got some visitors - it looks like you had a great time.

  4. Lisa, your pictures are gorgeous! I haven't been to Victoria since high school, and it is up there on the top of my list of "get-aways" I want to take. When Kurt and I finally get there, will you be our tour guides, too? :)
