April seems to be cursed in our family

I think April is officially cursed in the Belanger household. It seems to have been the hardest month for Matt and I in 2008 and 2009. As you recall Matt got laid off on my Birthday last April and as luck would have it - I got laid off today.

As I have watched the news over the past few months regarding layoffs across North America I have felt so lucky that we hadn't been directly effected by it. I guess times change and it eventually effects us all.

I can't complain though, because it is in times like these I am reminded of all the things I am so thankful for: a supportive family, wonderful friends, my ward family, living in a free nation, my health, and an amazing husband.

On to the next adventure!

  3. I'm really sorry! Being laid off is not fun. Make sure you keep talking about your feelings. I kind of shut down for about a month and that did not help. Be honest about your feelings, it makes it a little easier. But I really hope you find a new job fast! That just makes it a little better!

  5. You got laid off a week after the botched auto theft?!? I wish I lived closer to bring you some good chocolate! I, too, will pray that you find a job soon.
